Today, the fourth graders from Shorewood Christian School braved the windy, rainy weather and had an exciting experience at the Pike Place Market. One of the first places they visited was Don and Joe’s Meats, where Don explained a little about kidney pie:
Despite the blustery weather, they got a fabulous view of the Market and the waterfront from the observation deck at the Inn at the Market:
Back down on the ground, a couple of adventurous students tried a shot of pickle brine at Britt’s Pickles:
Thankfully (for most), they got a mango sample shortly after:
And what better way to end the day, than with a stop at the Gum Wall, where they made contributions. Yuck. Actually, the last stop was for handwashing:
