On April 20, two second grade classrooms from Genesee Hill Elementary toured the Pike Place Market. One came in the morning, and one in the afternoon. A morning group started off in the North Arcade, and had an interesting conversation with Ann, who sells beautiful knit hats and scarves – which she makes herself, of course:
Then there were all those samples to try out, from a Honey crisp apple at Choice Produce ….
… to chocolate linguine at Pappardelle’s…
… to Marionberry yogurt at Ellenos Real Greek yogurt…
… everything was simply fantastic!
Then there were special moments – some just to sit back and enjoy, as on the observation deck at the Inn at the Market:
And others were worth preserving with a picture because of the grossness, as at the world famous Gum Wall.
Finally, there were learning moments – because of course that’s what the visit was all about anyway – as in finding out all about chocolate from Rebecca at indi chocolate:
