May 30, 2019 Loyal Heights Elementary

A third grade classroom from Loyal Heights Elementary School visited the Pike Place Market and learned that the Market is really all about its people. One group got to personally meet three people who make student visits especially memorable. First up was Michela, co-owner of Pasta Casalinga, who just happens to have a daughter at their school! Michela showed how pasta is made, up close and personal:

And she explained that the process for the perfect pasta must be just right:

Later the group got to meet Kenna, at indi chocolate, who showed them how chocolate is made, and told them where in the world it comes from. With samples – yum!

One of the last stops for the group was the Magic Shop in the Market, where they got to meet Jonathan, who entertained and wowed them with amazing magic:

The Pike Place Market – it’s all about the people.
