June 13, 2019 Broadview-Thomson K-8 School

A great second grade classroom from Broadview-Thomson K-8 School closed out the 2018-19 school tour year.

As the school year wraps up, the Pike Place Market really ramps up, with many, many visitors! It gets a little crowded, but nothing would keep this energetic group from having some memorable experiences!

It was fitting that the first stop in this last tour ended up being at the newly opened Joe Chocolate Co, where they make caffeinated dark chocolate on-site. Now, being too young for the caffeine products, the kids were a little disappointed – but were soon treated to some special chocolate chip cookies (no caffeine) dipped in caramel. OMG, what a treat. Thanks, Joe, and welcome to the Market!

Speaking of new, the group eventually headed out to the MarketFront, for a photo-op by some of the thousands of Market Charms:

But the heart of the Market is still its rich history, which they experienced “down under” at theĀ Magic Shop in the Market. After wowing them with an amazing card trick, and upon hearing that this was the last tour of the school year, Jonathan wished them a happy summer and sent them off reading his shirt – Peace, Love, and Magic!

On the way back to the classroom at the end of the tour, they stopped for a send off from far away – the fantastic music of regular Market busker Gregory Paul:
Have a great summer, kids – see you in the fall!
