A classroom of fourth graders from Wedgwood Elementary School paid a visit to the Market today, paying particular attention to nutrition and food groups – as well as taking in the other magical wonders of the Market. They started at Pike Place Fish and almost got to see a halibut tossed (not really):
Later on they ventured over to Beechers, sampled some fresh cheese curds, and learned that it takes at least a year to turn that into a delicious cheese – which they huddled around to get a taste of:
Towards the end of their tour, they made some fine fruit purchases at Choice Produce, for later snacking at lunch – which they enjoyed at Victor Steinbrueck Park.
