A fourth grade classroom from Holy Rosary School had a fabulous time at the Market today. When they first arrived, they were entertained by the incredible crew at Pike Place Fish:
When program leader Scott Davies arrived, they got down to the business of learning about and experiencing all the Market has to offer.
After splitting up into smaller groups in the Market Classroom, one group was especially lucky in meeting up with Brian at Beechers, where they learned a LOT about cheese, and had some special samples – including an aged cheddar that was made when they were in kindergarten! Whoa, that’s old – and tasty!
They crossed the street back to the North Arcade, where they were fascinated to watch a daystall artist who makes paintings by laying canvas over painted fish (much more complicated than that, but you get the idea). Stinky, but beautiful!
It was a foggy day, but worth a trip up to the observation deck of the Inn at the Market. What an incredible view! Click on the picture below to see if you can make out the top of the Big Wheel, in the distance, center:
