March 23, 2017 View Ridge Elementary

The highlights for part of the third grade class from View Ridge Elementary School occurred early and late in their tour. One group’s definite highlight was touching an octopus (frozen), which was being brought out by a fishmonger at Pike Place Fish:

They had a fabulous time exploring the Market and meeting the people and vendors who work there. One of their last stops was at the world famous Gum Wall:

Back in the Market Classroom, they were happy to (finally!) have lunch – and they were presented with a challenge from Education Program’s leader Scott Davies, to match “Now and Then” photographs.

You can try the very same activity online here. Many more online and printable activities can be found in the Lesson Plans section of the program’s web site.
