A well prepared classroom of second graders from Catharine Blaine K-8 School had a great learning experience during their visit to the Market today. After gathering up and preparing  in the Market Classroom, they split up into smaller groups and headed out…

One group went to the Pike Place Urban Garden, where a picture at the Pig-Butt chair was simply irresistible. (note: six kids fit just fine)

Later on, they took in the sights sounds, smells – and a taste(!) at Beecher’s Handmade Cheese:

As their tour was coming to an end, this lucky group was offered a sample of a delicious Opal Apple at  Choice Produce – wow – and thanks!
