March 8, 2018 Arbor Heights Elementary

The third, and final, fourth grade classroom from Arbor Heights Elementary to visit the Market this week had some wonderful learning and exploring experiences. They also tried some special samples.

One group stopped to check out Woodring Orchards – where it was pretty much a tie for best tasting sample jams, between Raspberry and Strawberry-Rhubarb:

Across the street,  at La Buona Tavola, they learned about where truffles come from – and then what they smell and taste like. First the smell…

Wow – a new smell to almost everyone. But then the taste – in the form of a little truffle salt on the back of a hand:

Everybody agreed the taste was something they might want to try again – maybe next time on popcorn – really!
