Nov 20, 2017 King’s Elementary – classes 3 and 4

Two more fourth grade classes from King’s Elementary toured the Market together today! This was a make-up, because their original tour date was cancelled due to the Seattle Sounders Championship Parade downtown!

The two classrooms split up into smaller groups and started their exploration of the Market… All of the groups eventually made a stop at the Pike Place Urban Garden, with a chance to sign the pig:

One group stopped to watch the unloading of this truck – seasonal specialties headed to Don and Joe’s Meats:

Arts and crafts businesses were gearing up for the holiday season as well. They had an informative chat about jewelry and its creation with a vendor at a day stall:

The group enjoyed their visit to Beecher’s Handmade Cheese – what a treat to be able to watch cheese being made!

Finally, the Market is all about people. At Sotto Voce they had a wonderful opportunity to learn from an expert on oils and vinegars – and they were encouraged to sample some amazing flavors. Many thanks, and yum!
