Frequently Asked Questions
It’s always important to be prepared for your classroom field trip, and questions inevitably come up, some at the last minute. Here are some frequently asked questions (and answers!) to make your field trip to the Market rewarding, and hopefully, a little less stressful:
- Where should we park?
Your best bet is the Public Market Garage. Rates are:
0 – 1 hour: $4.00
1 – 2 hours: $8.00
2 – 3 hours: $12.00
3 – 4 hours: $16.00
- Is there a good place for our class to have lunch afterwards?
Sure! You are welcome to have lunch right where the field trip begins, in the Classroom of the Economy Building. There is also a public seating/eating area in the Atrium of the Economy Building, right below the Classroom. If the weather looks good, a great place to eat lunch outside is the new MarketFront, or Victor Steinbreuck Park, at the north end of the Market. Lunches and backpacks can be left in the Classroom, which is locked during the field trip.
- Do the kids have to wear nametags?
No, but it it’s really helpful for small group leaders, and it will make your kids’ learning experiences more personal and memorable.
