Today, we had a great group from Catharine Blaine K-8 School! We did lots of cool things, plus it didn’t even rain too much!
We go to try some tasty apple chips from Simply the Best, yummy raw and local honey from Moon Valley Organics, and tried creamy cheese from Beecher’s Handmade Cheeses (both the Flagship and cheese curds!).
We have some snapshots of the tour to share here…
Check out Rachel from Indi Chocolate showing students where cacao is grown. They got to try some delightful mint chocolate and orange chocolate lotions. These 2nd graders are fans of not only chocolate, but now chocolate aromatherapy!
At Pike Place Fish the kids enjoyed talking to the fish mongers. Taho had a great joke to share with the kids…ready?
Taho: How many tickles does it take to make an octopus laugh?–TEN tickles!
Another group had an excellent taste experience at Woodring Orchards. With a teensie sample of warm cider thrown in, it was a memorable stop:
As for views, it would be hard to top the one they got from the observation deck at the Inn at the Market:
And, just because it is the season of wishes, they tossed a coin (with a serious wish) into the fountain in front of the hotel:
Thanks for visiting Pike Place Market, Catherine Blaine K-8 School! See you soon, and Happy Holidays!
