Today TWO second grade classrooms from West Seattle Elementary had a great time learning about the Market, with one coming in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. It was a very exciting day, as this was the first time the school has participated in the Market Education Program. Welcome, and we look forward to seeing students from West Seattle Elementary every year! After splitting up into small groups, the classes began their adventures…
One group got to taste some delicious smoked salmon at Pike Place Fish!
As they headed up the North Arcade, they had a chance to sample some chocolate linguine at Pappardelle’s Pasta:
They were fascinated by the beautiful handmade jewelry at a day stall, and had fun talking with the guy who made it!
In the afternoon, one group was offered a taste of Opal apple – a tasty way to end their visit to the Market!
