Dec 5, 2019 Holy Rosary School

A fourth grade class from Holy Rosary School had a wonderful time learning about the Pike Place Market today. One group hadĀ  a very memorable first stop – at Raven’s Nest Treasure. They were excited to see all the Native art on display, as they had recently completed projects based on Native themes. Upon hearing this, owner Matthew Steinbrueck invited them over to share some stories. Matthew’s father was of course Victor Steinbrueck, who spearheaded the effort to preserve and protect the Pike Place Market from development in 1971:

They had another wonderful experience at Ventures Marketplace, there they were given a tour of the unique gift shop that features artwork and crafts from over 75 local artists:

Another level lower in the Down Under, they were lucky to be included in a large group experiencing an up close – and mind bending – presentation by Jonathan at the Magic Shop in the Market:

But what visit to the Market would be complete without a visit to the world famousĀ Gum Wall? And it’s especially fun if you have some gum to contribute, which this group did – with two hands – hand sanitizer follower shortly thereafter:
